Your play. Your information.

Matchday is published by TechFusion Lab. This notice describes the current app and website. Updated 17 October 2026. Contact: contact.techfusionlab@gmail.com.

Playing on your device

We save your guest name, preferences, quiz results, practice progress and unfinished lineup attempts in local app or browser storage so you can continue playing. Native solo play works offline during the guest preview and after sign-in. Local storage remains until you clear it, reset it or remove the app; behaviour can depend on your device’s backup settings.

Online rooms

Firebase creates an anonymous authentication ID for online access. The service stores room codes, chosen display names, participants, answers or guesses, scores, game state and timestamps to run the match. Other people in your room can see your display name and the game information shown by that mode, including shared answers or bluffs. Rate-limit records help protect the service from excessive requests.

Accounts and groups

After the free warm-up and two guest games, continuing play requires free sign-in with Google, Apple or email. Both the website and native app use Firebase Authentication. The provider can supply an account ID, name and email address. Progress sync stores your display name and quiz journal, including round results, dates, daily scores and mastery records. Friend groups store names, memberships and shared room references. Email sign-in uses Firebase Authentication to check your email and password; Matchday does not store your password in its gameplay database or local profile. Apple and Google use provider account confirmation; on unsupported devices a secure browser handoff is available.

Optional playtest measurement

If you opt in, we record session and mode events, completions, rematches, platform, chosen playtest group and dates. Records use a hashed authentication ID to recognise a participant; that hash is a pseudonymous identifier, not a guarantee of anonymity. Feedback includes your rating, whether you would return and the comment you submit. Please keep names and contact details out of comments.

You can turn off playtest sharing on the playtest screen. Turning it off stops future measurement; it does not delete earlier submissions.

Service providers and technical data

Google Firebase provides authentication, database storage and game functions. Vercel hosts the website. Requests can produce technical logs such as IP addresses, request details and errors in those services. The website loads typefaces from Google Fonts. Support emails are handled through the contact mailbox. The app does not include an advertising SDK or an advertising-tracking feature.

Storage and deletion

There is no automatic deletion period promised for cloud profiles, room records or playtest submissions in this release. A room or sign-in link expiring does not mean its stored record has been deleted. Use Account → Account options → Delete account in the app, or delete your account here. After fresh identity confirmation, deletion removes authentication, cloud progress, crew membership, room identity, linked playtest records and local progress on the current device. Apple authorization is revoked for linked Apple accounts. Interrupted cloud cleanup retries automatically. Other devices may retain offline copies until their app storage is cleared. A one-way deletion marker prevents old sessions recreating data. Limited player safety reports are retained for up to 90 days for abuse handling. Provider logs and backups follow their providers’ retention policies.
