What is Matchday?

Matchday is a sports quiz game for football, cricket, Formula 1 and tennis. It has 696 multiple-choice questions, 160 clue-based identity challenges and 104 historical lineup, grid and bracket boards.

How does Missing Lineup work?

Choose an exact event and fill the missing names on its pitch, playing XI, starting grid or last-eight bracket. Correct names move into place automatically.

Can I choose a difficulty?

Yes. Missing Lineup has Club with three missing names, Expert with six and Legend with every name missing. These tiers describe how much you must recall, not a tested rating of how hard each event is.

Do I need an account?

Start with a free warm-up and two guest games, then sign in free with Google, Apple or email to keep playing. Native solo games remain available offline after sign-in; online rooms require a connection.

Can I play with friends?

Yes. Share an online room code for party quizzes, head-to-head matches, team rounds, clue races or bluff games. Missing Lineup is a solo puzzle you can solve together around one screen or share as a challenge link.

Can I choose a sporting era?

Yes. Filter solo collections by before 1990, the 1990s, 2000s, 2010s or 2020s, or play all eras. Daily, Weekly and shared challenges keep the same questions for everyone. Eras describe sporting events, not players’ birth years.

What happens when I get stuck?

For each missing name, you can request a contextual clue, initials and a surname pattern. Hints reduce that name’s available points. You can also reveal a name to finish the board.
